LET'S GET MOISTURIZED: Lips

MOISTURIZED LIPS, AMAZING COLOR

You don't have to sacrifice amazing color to have moisturized lips. This is a collection of my favorite lipsticks and lip stains that just so happen to offer great moisture! Enjoy!

Rebel

by MAC

The satin finish says it all! This lipstick feels amazing on your lips without the application of lip gloss. I love that it keeps my lips moisturized throughout the day with an amazing color payoff with excellent lasting power. MUST-HAVE for sure!

Just Bitten Kissable Lip Balm Stain: Romantic

Talk about moisturizing! These lip balm stains were designed to give you moisturized lips and phenomenal color! I just cannot get over how pigmented these are without being lipsticks and the lasting power is great!

Tutti Frutti

by Revlon Colorburst

Its not quite Spring, but this color will be perfect for it! I will definitely be popping this cutesy, coral color on my lips when Spring finally gets here. These lip butter balms have great color and give a tiny hint of gloss when you apply them. AH-MAY-ZING!

Just Bitten Kissable Lip Balm Stain: Smitten

by Revlon

I love rich, red wine type of colors for lips. That's why this lip stain had to be on this list! It looks great for an evening out or for a bold lip statement during the day all while keeping those lips smooth and chap-free.

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Balm Stain: Lovesick

by Revlon

This lip stain is the ultimate cutesy girl color. Its perfect for everyday wear and goes well with lots of different makeup looks. This is my go-to lip stain when I am on-the-go or running late. Just pop it on and get on with your day.

I hope this list was helpful! Keep moisturized and STAY AMAZING

Target Haul

I recently went to Target and these are some of the goodies I picked up! Enjoy!

Pantene Pro-V: Anti-Breakage Shampoo & Conditioner

I have been having a MAJOR problem with split ends! My hair has been so tangled after I wash it that it was causing damage and breakage. I picked up these Anti-Breakage shampoo and conditioner by Patene Pro-V. These are the smaller sizes and were in a set for only $6.00, which is the prize of one full size one! Great deal! I have only used them once, but I can tell this will be a favorite of mine for sure.

Nexxus: Pro-Mend Split End Binding Daily Conditioner

I got this to accompany the Pantene Pro-V shampoo and conditioner. This is just an extra boost to my hair to make sure I can prevent split ends and also restore my hair from the damage. This, like all other Nexxus products, is kinda expensive (~$15), but I believe it will be worth it. I have only used this once and it smells AMAZING!! A must have!

Palmer's: Deep Conditioning Protein Pack

Another treatment I wanted to try out in my quest for healthy hair. I haven't used this yet, but I have used some other products from this brand. Hopefully this will help my hair!

Maybelline: Great Lash

I saw a lot of reviews about this being really good for brows and lashes so I thought I would give it a try. Its super inexpensive and works great to keep those brows in place and to prime lashes. Its oil-free and conditions your brows and lashes. Love it!

Maybelline Rocket Volum' Express Mascara

I picked this up to add to my Maybelline mascara collection. I haven't tried it yet, but I love all the others so I am sure this will be great as well. The one I got is waterproof and in blackest black.

Maybelline Classic Volum' Express Mascara

Now I officially have the entire collection until they come out with another. This claims to be anti-clumping. I haven't tried it yet, but when I do I will definitely let you know what I think.

That's all! I will be uploading more posts more frequently now that I have more free time! Yay! Thanks for visiting my blog!

MAYBELLINE MASCARAS: What's the Difference?

Maybelline Mascaras

I love love love these Maybelline mascaras! They are only around $7-$8 in places like CVS, Walgreens, Target, and Wal-Mart. They give your lashes great length and a full, voluminous look for much less than high end mascara products. They have a lot of mascaras in their collection, but what makes them different and which one will work best for you?

Lets start off with:
Falsies Volum' Express Waterproof: Black Drama #6

CLAIMS: This mascara claims to give dramatic lash length to resemble false lashes. It has a curved wand that is flexible and bendable and a "Black Drama" formula that catches each lash to give full volume. This mascara gives your lashes a matte look. The packaging also states that it is contact lense safe and will not give you any gaps in your lashes. Also, claims to be able to come off easily with soap and water or an eye makeup remover.

MY OPINION:  While I do like this mascara, it is not my favorite one of the collection because I do not feel that it separates my lashes well and it also tends to clump. While the scoop shape of the brush is good, I feel that it does not catch my lashes like a fuller wand would. I also do not see any type of improvment in lash length. I think that this mascara is good for everyday wear for work or school, but not for any special occasion or a night out on the town. My main question is, if it washes off easily with soap and water then why is it labeled waterproof? Although, I do find that to be false, it does not completely come off with soap and water so any type of eye makeup remover is best.

NEXT:
Falsies Volum' Express  #5

ClAIMS:  Although this mascara may appear to be exactly like Falsies Volum' Express: Black Drama, there are some key differences. This mascara is NOT waterproof and also is made with a different formula called Pro-Keratin, which is supposed to build up the volume of your lashes without clumping. The wand is flexible, bendable, and shaped like a spoon or scoop. Also, claims to be contact lense safe and washable with water for easy removal.

MY OPINION:  I feel that this mascara has a better formula than the Black Drama formula because it does not clump on my lashes and the product glides on smoothly. I still do not feel like this gives my lashes amazing length or volume. To me its just an okay mascara that can again be used for everyday use or just when you are out and about.

NEXT:
Falsies Volum' Express Waterproof: Flared #4

CLAIMS: This mascara claims to give lashes the look of false lashes with a flare, meaning  winged out. The product is made with a Pro-Keratin formula to prevent clumping while giving volume. The brush is spoon shaped and flexible just like the other Falsies mascaras.

MY OPINION: I still do not feel that this gives my lashes the voluminous look that I want. I do love the Pro-Kertain formula because I feel that it applies to my lashes smoothly without clumping.  Overall, this mascara is just so-so.

NEXT:
Colossal Volum' Express #3

CLAIMS: This mascara claims to give you huge lashes with just one coat. The product has a Lush collagen-enriched plumping formula. The brush is round and appears to get smaller closer to the end. It claims to give 9x the volume without clumping. It is also contact lens safe and washable.

MY OPINIONS:  I LOVE this mascara. This is by far in my top 3 mascaras from my collection of maybelline mascaras. I absolutely love the collagen formula because it gives my lashes volume and length. I feel like brush catches every lash and gives them an excellent lift. I can most definitely see a difference in my lashes.

NEXT:
Turbo Volum' Express Waterproof #2

CLAIMS: This mascara claims to give 7x the volume and work rapidly, hence the name TURBO, to thicken lashes. The formula is a turbo boost formula that make lashes voluminous quickly. The product has a straight brush that Maybelline says is an anti-clump brush. It is also contact lens safe.

MY OPINION: This is my 2nd favorite mascara from my collection! I LOVE the brush. I thought that I would not like it since it is just a straight brush, but it does work well with the formula. I feel that it gives my lashes a boost and really separates them to give my lashes a lengthy, voluminous look. I have not experienced any clumping and it gives a smooth application. I definitely recommend this mascara for daily use and for special occasions.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST:

Mega Plush Volum' Express #1

CLAIMS: This product claims that it will not leave lashes flaky, dry or brittle. It is a gel-mousse mascara with less hard waxes to give lashes a more voluminous look and to leave them supple. The brush is round and flexible with bristles going in different directions.

MY OPINION: My FAVORITE from my collection. The fact that the bristles on the brush are going in different directions makes it easy for them to catch every lash and apply an even amount of product. After one coat I feel that I have the full, voluminous and lengthy lashes that I want. I also love the shape of the brush because it is easy to apply the product from root to tip. The formula is by far my favorite because it leave my lashes feeling soft with no clumping. This is the mascara that I find myself reaching for whenever I go out no matter what the occasion.

Favorite Foundations

I only own four foundations, but I feel that they do very different jobs and I love them for different reasons. My Nars Sheer Glow in shade Macao, (pictured on the far left), is a full coverage, satin finish liquid foundation that I guess would be considered more of a "high-end" brand costing $42. It can tend to feel a bit heavy in Summer so I find myself wearing it more in Winter. I feel that it does give my skin a flawless look and glow.
My Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation in shade Spice is my absolute favorite out of all four because it is light-weight, but gives great coverage. I never feel like my face is cakey when wearing this foundation. It definitely does do what is states on the label because I can wear this throughout the day and never have to touch-up and it looks the same as when I applied it in the morning. I recommend this foundation wholeheartedly  because it gives you a natural, flawless look for about $35.
Next is Revlon's Photo Ready Foundation in shade Caramel. I love this foundation because it really does give an airbrushed look in photos. I did have a hard time finding the right shade for myself and I do believe that Caramel is a little too light for me, but overall I love this foundation. I do find that it applies best for me when I use a flat-top brush. I purchased this foundation for around $10-$15 and it can be found in places like Walgreens, Target, or Wal-Mart.

Lastly, is my only powder foundation, Loreal True Match in shade Nut Brown. I love this foundation for an everyday look or for when I am in a hurry. It's super easy to apply and gives you great coverage that doesn't make you feel cakey. Also, it is very light-weight and easy to blend making your skin feel comfortable. I purchased this foundation from Walgreens for around $10.

I hope this helps you out in deciding the right foundation for yourself. It's all about trial and error. Also, if a foundation isn't working for you, change the brush you are using to apply it or change your technique for applying it first before giving up on it. Thanks so much for reading!
